He has arthritis and it is getting worse so this would make it easier for him to get the entire lid of and not have to hurt his fingers or knuckles in the process. If someone asked me what the best kitchen accessory I have was I would quickly say my electric can opener. I love it, and it is super easy to use. I can easily place the can on the magnet strip and have it cut the top off and leave no sharp metal edges. It can also sharpen a dull knife when I need that done as well. It is definitely a focal point in my kitchen and will be for some time.
